Chat Pod

You have the ability to type a message to the entire class, or a single person that you would like to "chat with."

To operate the chat is very easy. To do this, click on the "To" menu and select the person with whom you would like to chat.

You would type your chat in the small text box provided. After you have typed your message press the "arrow" button and your message will appear in the large "Chat" box which will show all the chat messages back and forth. By giving each user a different color of text, IQity has made it easy for you to recognize your message from others.

Just be aware, the teacher has the control of watching the entire chat and can view all messages sent between students. This simply means that you will not have the ability to send messages to anyone that the teacher cannot also view.

If your teacher feels that your behavior needs a "Warning" you will receive a message with a yellow flag like this on your screen:

If your teacher feels that your behavior calls for a "time out," you will be sent a "Censor" message like this on your screen:

If your teacher feels that you need to be completely removed from the session, they can remove you from the session. You would see the following "Drop" notice:

If you have been "Censored" or "Dropped" by your teacher, you will not be allowed to participate until after your teacher changes your settings.

The last pod for us to explore is the Whiteboard. This is the largest area on the screen.
