Accessing LiveBoard

Before you can enter into a LiveBoard Event, your teacher must first create the LiveBoard Event for you to access.

You have two options for entering a LiveBoard Event. The first option is to click on the LiveBoard link in the left navigation.

Clicking on this link will take you directly to the LiveBoard room inside of IQity.

The other option for accessing a LiveBoard Event is to enter through the class calendar. You will need to click on the “Class Calendar” link also in the left navigation.

After pressing the calendar link, the class calendar will appear on your screen.

To see the LiveBoard event, click the arrow in the purple LiveBoard row. The arrow will then point down and a new bar will appear showing the "Title" and "Class" of the event.

To find the description of the event, you will click on the arrow next to the event title. You should then see a "Description" of the Liveboard event, date, time the event begins and ends as well as the status of the event (in-process, or closed).

The descriptions is very important for you. If you have a certain topic that you need extra help in, you will know when your teacher will be discussing that topic in his or her LiveBoard session by reading the description. It is also important to read the description to find the time of the event, because you may miss valuable information if you are not there at the correct time.

By clicking the blue link named “In-process, join Liveboard now” this will directly take you to the LiveBoard event.

You will need to have a "Moderator" (teacher) inside the event before you can interact with any teachers or students.  This means that you will not be able to speak to or "chat" with anyone else without your teacher or moderator. If you have gone to the LiveBoard session before the teacher arrives, you will receive this message:

You have now completed your instruction for Accessing the LiveBoard. Before we move to the LiveBoard Pods, let’s check your understanding.
